[Oh, is it December? Robin's spent the post-Thanksgiving weeks holed up in his apartment struggling to piece together the bigger picture. Joker was here. He's spent seventeen Luceti months stuck here without any real progress to show for it. Things are as bad as they were on day one, which is clearly a failing of Robin himself. And lo, he's fallen back into his brooding. With Jason here to wear the Robin suit and scour for petty street crime (that never even happens), Robin only needs to monitor the journals. And plan. There's so much planning. Planning isn't even something that needs to happen in direct sunlight.

It means he hasn't been outdoors since the last time someone dragged him out. Even his usual sessions with Aang and Jason have been set aside in favor of his obsessing. They won't need to learn how to fight better if he can just crack the secret of getting them out. And if the Joker's here, then the Joker's in league with Slade. Or maybe he's not and Slade is just using this pocket dimension as a way to be rid of all his competition at once.

...Which brings him back to the journal. There are just some things that can't be learned without directly interaction with the subject base.]

What was the last thing you did at home before you were brought here?

[It's just an afterthought into the ether. No greetings, no explanations, no introductions. There's no time for that. He's much more concerned with working out filters to throw on the replies as they come in.]

[The experiment's been over for days now. It's given Robin a lot to mull over about the malleable nature of the enclosure. It's given him a chance to witness residents both at their best and at their worst; there were surprises to be had on both ends.

Mostly, the surprise was a lack of Batman. It had been curious, then worrisome, and finally suspicious. Still more suspicious was a trip around the empty apartments that led to uncovering a mostly-empty would-be Batcave. The notes were fascinating, but that did nothing to make it feel less staged.]

We need to talk. In person, if possible.

[With that message sent, Robin's going to be setting out on project the second: security. In theory, there's enough electronic scrap material in the item shop to rig up some level of audio surveillance around Community building 5, though working out the kinks and staying out of sight makes the endeavor take the better part of the night. There really does need to be a less-archaic way to make electronics happen here.

And also an easier way to get pizza in the middle of the night. It sucks having to wait for Azzip to open and then skulk around in broad daylight just to satisfy a food craving, but when the stomach wants some pizza, there's no fighting the urge. If you're in the area and also in the mood for some early-morning dinner, Robin wouldn't be averse to having a pizza-buddy.]

((OOC: And because there clearly hasn't been enough small text in this post, I'd like to also make this a general "did I drop a thread with you? D:" post as well. Notifs seem to have calmed down, and I *think* I'm up to date on everything, but with all the event craziness I think I might have missed someone. Just give a holler here if you are that someone? Thanks!))

[Robin has already been here long enough to know what's going on as far as the village mythos is concerned. There'd been alleged kidnappings from multiple dimensions, and all sorts of superpowered types are supposedly stuck here to act as an army for some omnipresent Big Brother figure. It would have been a transparent enough illusion if not for the extensive network of journals. A few days spent reading the text entries and listening to old recorded vocals was tedious but terribly informative. The problem raised is in the holes. The little snippets of familiar voices that lead to empty journal spaces. It's become a big enough issue that Robin addresses the journals at large. even if it is a trap, it can't hurt to make it look like he's playing along.]

Hey, guys. It seems like it's customary around here to give introductions. I'm Robin. Pleased to meet you. I'm already up to speed about the major issues, so don't worry about that.

I'm curious, though. If the general understanding of those who leave is that they're sent home and leave no trace that they've ever been here, why do they still exist on the older entries of people still here? If the Malnosso can erase a person's identity from the village, why not backtrack and get rid of the departed people's presence on others' pages as well? It seems incomplete of them.

[OOC: Okay so Robin's been creeping in your business, Luceti. I'm considering any written/voice post fair game, so here's hoping your characters are good with their filtering if they don't want a stranger all up in their secrets.
Alternatively, if anyone comes from such a canon where fourth-walling is plausible, I'll note here that I'm totally okay with it. Robin deserves it, to be honest.]
