[It isn't often that Robin uses his journal. Oh to be certain, he monitors the thing closely, keeping an ear to the town's goings-ons from the most grandiose schemes to even the pettiest birthday announcement. But lately, Robin's been mulling over some Serious Issues that lack cohesive data in any concrete ways. The necessary solution is crowdsourcing.]
I think it's safe to say most of us have a decent sense of te line between fact and fiction. So now I'm curious: how many of you have met someone here who tells you that you're not real? I'll be filtering your responses, so don't worry about airing your information in public.
[Because naturally, Robin himself doesn't count as public. That would be silly. He sets aside the stack of abused library-gained comics he's been poring over for the last week. There's been enough to unsettle him, but not anything concrete. So some Archie guy can't decide between two girls. So Iron Man and the Hulk teamed up with some guy in a Spider outfit. Even the Superman-punches-an-alien comic doesn't tell Robin much he didn't already know. The issues are too short and too out of sequence to provide any real understanding. Whose world did these things come from? Is there a portal-jumping journalist hopping between dimensions and publishing people's lives as fiction? Or is there more to it than that?]
Oh, and one more thing. Is anyone planning on taking over the pizza place? It's kind of a shame it's just sitting there.

Robin! You're here too?
With OOC apologies for all the IC stalking. >>
[He knows her as Anita Fite, a recent arrival. He also knows her as one of the fiction-conscious people who had a very telling conversation with Ms Leblanc upon arrival. Except now there's the matter of how she knows him. Are you an avid comic reader, Miss Fite?]
You sound surprised.
Np~
[Hang on. She squints, looks past the costume and notices that something's...off.]
You're not Robin.
[But, wait. Considering how Luceti works...]
Or at least, you're not the one I know.

I'm the only Robin there is.

Back home, I was friends with a Robin, like you, but he was the second to use the name.
no subject
I'll visit you in person. Where are you staying?
no subject
Uh - Building 4, room 11. For now.
no subject
Give me fifteen minutes.
[He'll be there in twelve. No knocking or anything. Just all up in her space. He's a lot shorter than Tim, if she cares to notice.]

She doesn't point the blades to an enemy's throat unless she knows they're an enemy.
She smiles at Robin, but it isn't particularly friendly.]
You're early. Can I get you anything?
no subject
You can get me answers. Start with who you are. Don't leave anything out.

[She curls her feet up onto the chair to keep the blade on her lap close to her and out of grabbing range, and runs a finger along the edge of the other as she speaks - need sharpening. She'll do that later.]
My name is Anita Fite, codename Empress. Three years ago I was part of a team of teenage superheroes called Young Justice, based out of Happy Harbor, Rhode Island. One of my teammates was Robin, Batman's protege. He was the second to carry the title. [She gives Robin a subtly critical look; just a flick of her gaze from head to toe.] You're shorter than he was.

So you're from the future. Let's say I believe you and this Young Justice team is real. What happened to the Titans?
no subject
...They got older. Younger heroes took their place as the new generation, and the Titans went on to fight bigger battles.
no subject
And if I said the name "Nightwing" to you, would that mean anything? [Like. Aside from being the most badass superhero name ever.]
no subject
[Oh dear gods.]
...Nightwing...?
no subject
Not yet. But I've heard a few things about the future.
no subject
You're gonna be Nightwing? Because you're - he's - because he's wow, and you're - I mean...wow.
[Pardon the fangirling, but Nightwing is kind of a big deal. She's met him before, but this is up close, so it's sort of like a cross between getting to talk to the guy who ends up being star quarterback in the future and getting to make fun of him for being a shrimp in the present.]
no subject
Good to know.
I take it you were expecting someone different? [Not bigger. Never bigger. Robin is all the tall anyone will ever need to be. THE HAIR COUNTS AS HEIGHT.]

If it helps, there've been a few people who've come and gone. You've already said a few things that match the future Superman told me about. [Not that Superman really counts as someone either of them would have any business knowing from home. He's just kind of. Superman.]

[Hey, she can hope.]
